At Jhelum Burial Society, we truly believe every life deserves to be honored and celebrated. We work hard to fulfill your requests and to carry out the final wishes of your loved one.

Jhelum Burial Society is a private organisation created by the Pakistani community originally from the Jhelum District.

Founded on the 14th August 1974 by the efforts of a few Muslims who lived in England (Manchester) but who were originally from Pakistan in the District of Jhelum who realised there was a need for a burial society which could pay for the funeral (memorial service) and also pay for the body to be sent back home (Pakistan).

Mohammed Hafiz (Merhum) was a member of the Burial Society in Dewsbury and in 1974, he introduced this idea to his family and friends living in Manchester who were all originally from Pakistan in the District of Jhelum. His friends and family agreed to the idea and the Jhelum Burial Society was set up on Wednesday 14th August 1974.
